Just asking as I have a friend who still DJs northern soul music most weekends seems to be back on the rise again..

I used to go to Wigan casino until it closed in 1981,still a good following in Carlisle though,Newcastle has a good Soul club called Hoochie Coochie.

Didn't know the one in Wigan shut I do know 100s used to go from all over the UK by bus and the people queuing up used to see where the buses were coming from. Pete did you ever meet Edwin Starr.

Never had the pleasure but a sad loss,i think the Casino had a capacity of about 4000 and you are right about the buses, friendliest place i have ever been but that might have something to do with most people being off their heads.
