    If we go down

What will it cost us? When Barnsley went down sure 8 million was mentioned. Looking at today we were crying out for quality in midfield & a striker. Need players who can step straight in. not players who'll need half a dozen + to get fit, if ever ie Becchio.

Jury is out on Facey, a full back as got to be able to support the attach. Smallwood who was one of the better players can't take free-kicks or corners. Today 1st half thought they were there for the taking, then a Green mistake for 1st goal, & a Broadfoot slip for the 2nd. No blame attached it happens. D Ward & Derbyshire were off-par didn't help. Thoughts.

Can't really agree with that. Facey is one of the best young fullbacks I've seen in recent years. Smallwood for me slows down our attacks because his first reaction is to turn backwards, the safer option rather than going forward or playing the killer pass. I still have doubts about D Ward, off again today, he's not robust or resilient enough for my liking.

Hope with Facey its match fitness. He kept going better than tues. Its just we've got 19 games left, need min' 21 pts. Noticed with Facey players weren't passing to him going forward.

took a neutral to the game today. he reckoned facey was the weak link in the back 4...
he made 3 mistakes vs brighton before richardson replaced him..
imo he was left exposed in the 2nd half by g ward. in the first half ward was running konchelski ragged, absent 2nd half

    Correct Cayton.
Richardson should have been on at 70 minutes.

Really like facey much better than weve had in that position this season, better than Richardson nuf said.

agree monkey, a lot better than richardson over 90 minutes but when your chasing a game experienced defenders allow other players around them (g ward) to get forwards. facys 2nd half defending was a little naive..

Hopefully the Technical Committee are factoring the huge loss of revenue (should we go down) into their deliberations - but I doubt it. We always seem to take a very short-term view.

Agreed. But Facey isn't very good.
