The Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust (BWFCST).....

On January 6, upwards of 1,000 followers of the club attended the inaugural BWFCST meeting at Macron Stadium, where attendees voted unanimously in favour of the Trust's formation.

Under the guidance of Supporters Direct, BWFCST applied for and have since taken delivery of registration documents from the Financial Conduct Authority, which sees the Trust recognised as a Community Benefit Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014.

As of Monday evening, around 4,300 fans had pledged membership to the Trust - with those aged 16 and over contributing £10 for annual membership.

That number is expected to rise on Tuesday evening, with a host of volunteers, backed by former players John McGinlay and Kevin Davies, present around the ground ahead of Wanderers' FA Cup third-round replay against non-league Eastleigh, advising their target audience how to become a member.

I think that all supporters should congratulate the people who have used their initiative to form the 'Supporters Trust' and join immediately.

The so called SupportersTrust is nothing more than a stupid talking shop!

They labour under the mad deusion that they can infuence the club from the sidelines! Absolute nonsense, of course as NO club or company will me dictated to by any body, other than a government agncy, and least of all a bunch of amateurs!

They have not intention whatsoever in trying to save the cub - this is stated quite clearly in their online bs, along with the statement that they may be in a position to "take a financial stake in the club at some point, but we are probably talking many years down the line."

Given that the club may not have more than a month to exist, and we need affirmatibe action NOW, that is pathetic and spineless!

If the club does survive and we all hope it does, of course, then the group buying it are NOT going to sell their shares en-mass to the supporters trust - it is sheer fantasy to imagine they will!

And, even if the supporters trust did at some point get to buy

Whilst I totally disagree with Eva I have to say, as time goes on, it is beginning to look like the Managers are running the Union !

The Supporters Trust are looking to buy the club, although not very democratic, this sounds excellent news.

If nothing else, the Supporters Trust has flushed another of the 'bidders' out. Getting really exciting now.
