    Really excited

To see what we are like without having to play with 10 men every week. I'm expecting quick tempo hard working high energy football with a bit of pace thrown in from now on.

I reckon we'll get a result at boro and Rhodes will be in our pocket.

JR - it's best not to get too carried away. I'm reasonably optimistic myself that things will now start to improve, but the recent past has surely taught us not to rely too much on a good cup-result and the signing of a "PL-quality" midfielder. (Think Murphy!)
Until a few more positive League results are in the bag, I'm still going with Billy Bragg! (See link). - view external link

I'm confident in Lambert. I can see what he's doing and back it 100%.

That's not really the point I'm making. Almost everyone is "backing" him. I'm talking about over-reacting to a limited range of events.
Over the last few years, every time we've had a good result or two, it's been: "Premier League, here we come", and then after a poor run, it's been: "We're heading for relegation."
I keep coming back to the unpredictability of this Division, and to the fact that it isn't all about the manager, as you seem to believe.
It's fine to be positive, but I'm just saying that we should wait for a few more League matches to pass, before we make any assumptions.

Is that not one of the major draws of football?

I'll be what I am, you be what you are. Stop trying to piss on my chips.

I hold the belief that having JR in the team has held us back. Let's now see whether I'm right or not.

Fine. I'm not sure why you treat everything as a chest-beating "Who's right and who's wrong" contest.
I have no wish to water your chips. However, a fortnight ago, you were slamming Lambert, and nothing I have said in the above posts is factually incorrect.
A suggestion that we should await the next few results is hardly a call for Lambert's head! If you turn out to be right, I will actually be pleased because this is not about me and you (or anyone else) arm-wrestling to see who's the boss - it's about the success or failure of the Club.

I've NEVER critisised Lambert at all. Its far too early and he's only just brought in his own players. You've got me mixed up there aucks.

As for the rest, I only hope if proven right folk on here will finally realise I know the game of football pretty well.

I won't hold my breath though.

Well actually, JR, in a thread that YOU started (called "We actually look worse under Lambert"), you made the contribution below. It's hardly a ringing endorsement for Lambert, is it?

"My concern is that under bowyer we were creating chances but missing them. Your LUCK(aucks ) could always change under them circumstances, but when your creating nothing of note.. Where does it go from here?

I've heard a comparison today(from a regular attendee) with the football produced under Appleton..

    Please god no."

Playing devils advocate aucks just to stir up conversation. God knows this board needs it.

And in response to my own post, well Lambert has done something about it now hasn't he?
