And this is their idea of our top 10 female actresses, again they are an American site so what do you all think about their choices ? - view external link
Ok film fans on here (and I know there are a few like me).. what do you all think about this particular countdown as the best 10 British male actors. This US site 'Watchmojo.com' do these top 10 countdowns almost everyday and I always like hearing their ideas of British-ness lol.
ps - I disagree with the number 1 choice here in this countdown, but Im sure we will all disagree on certain choices. Who would like to see this Top 10 countdown... as a regular thread on here ?- view external link

Thanks for posting these two links, Acido, I rushed through the first link on the top male actors and wonder why the Americans did not slip in Sean Connery somewhere in the top ten...or did I miss him somehow? His James Bond role was wildly popular on this side of the pond
Shouldn't Jamie Vardy be on the list?
Hard to argue with #1 IMO. He doesn't act a lot, but when he does, he wins an Oscar.
Not necessarily the best, but a couple of my favs: DDL, Gary Oldman, Richard Attenbrough, Christopher Lee, Alan Rickman
Jaime Vardy indeed
Ok Daniel Day Lewis is good but he just wouldnt be my top pick. Its good to see Alan Rickman in there and Ive always liked Gary Oldman especially now that I know he does the voice for Victor Reznov in the Call of duty games!! I cant understand either why Sean Connery isnt in the list. I definitely agree though with Judi Dench as the top actress.
Heres another one for you all to mull over, the Top 10 British slang words
I particularly like word number 4, but I think we all have to agree with the number 1 choice here dont we (and heres a clue, we always call the ref it at matches!!). - view external link
I have only just had the time to respond to your post as I would wish, Acido. I wanted to compile my top ten list before watching the video clip.Originally Posted by Acido

With the exceptions of Cary Grant and Ch
I'm not sure we can even agree on who truly qualifies as "British". I've always regarded Peter O'Toole as Irish, which would take him out of the running.
Not a Sean Connery fan myself but, like Tundra, I'm surprised he never made the list.
I'd have to think about my own ten but Albert Finney, James Bolam and John Thaw would all be in there.
