I am old enough to remember the Queen O The South bar but I was only young so was never in. I tend to remember a ' Tam O Shanter' style head sticking out of the front of pub above the door. Is my memory playing tricks ?

I don't consider myself that old, but sadly I remember this pub and have been in it. My recollection was that for various reasons it was one of the last Dumfries pubs I went to (back in the days when we were trying them all. Not all on the same night....). It was I think a bit 'old-style' but I'm struggling to remember much else.

Well done to the new owner of the Queen of the South bar for answering the request of a blind Hibs
fan to meet him at Dumfries station and take him to Palmy on Tuesday past. Not only did Jonathon
Robertson look after the Hibee at the game but prior to that treated him to a few drinks and his dinner.

Yes a tremendous gesture and will only show the club as well as the supporters in a good light. Brilliant!!!
