    The 6 Nations..

Wish I had posted a comp now (was waiting for Chis). I would and will always go for England. Well played.

Going by the first round of matches it'll be between Wales and England. Both need to up their game a bit and cut out the silly errors, and Wales need Biggar back and playing. Ireland won't be strong enough for the whole tournament, Scotland are improving but not quite there, France are France, and Italy will have some good games but lose most if not all of them.
We should have a side bet on which game will Dylan Hartley get his first yellow.

Can't disagree with that SD. I also think the game between Eng and Wales will decide it. You should've beaten Ireland although they did defend well. Eng were very average but didn't need to be much better. There's obvious room for improvement there, particularly if he can find a balanced back row. I think Kvesic could be the man to provide the balance (well to be honest it's Armytage but that's not going to happen) and get rid of Robshaw.

By the way, my in laws are currently driving round New Zealand in an RV for 4 weeks before moving onto Oz, so it's most likely that England will win the Grandslam and I'll have no one to crow about it to.

Er probably not (let's hope not anyway eh?)

I'm sure you'll manage to find someone if the worst does actually happen!

Didn't see the England Italy game but I'm presuming it was a walk in the park.
Wales had a fright against Scotland but got over the line. Still too many errors and silly pens, need to up their game against England.
France beating Ireland made me laugh, I don't know why, maybe just Ireland losing. It wouldn't surprise me at all now if the shoddy, indisciplined excuse for a French team went on and won the grand slam!

England were awful in the first half. Mistakes and indiscipline. At half-time it looked like Jones comment about a "hammering" was going to come back and haunt him. Still, I suppose he knows what he is doing. He did say it was all going to happen in the last 20 mins and he was proved right. Enjoyed Wales vs Scotland - best match of the weekend by far.

Hogg is a good player; good ball carrier, strong, impulsive, sees a gap, but also prickly and can be a bit naughty, I like him a lot, reminds me of Mike Phillips. You could say him going off injured made the difference ultimately. It was a good game for the neutral, was only able to breathe safely when North went over. Tough on the jocks but hey ho never mind.

Came in from an excellent lunch (The Chairmakers), it was Italy 9 England 11 and seemed to me that England were under the cosh. The interception changed all that and from then on maybe a walk in the Park was an apt way to put it

    re: The 6 Nations..

So the big one on Saturday.
    Anybody fancy some predictions.....?

    Wales v England
    1. Final score?
    2. Time of Mike Brown's first squinny to the ref?
    3. Time of Dylan Harley's first yellow/red?
    4. Ditto Owen Farrell?
    5. On a scale of 1-10 how gay will Sweet Chariots sound?
    6. On a scale of 1-10 how biased will the nasty ref be against poor old England?
    7. How gracious/magnanimous will Eddie Jones be in defeat, 1-10?
    8. Ditto Warren Gatland?
    9. Who'd win the fight between Jones and Gatland?
    10. Ditto Hartley v Warburton?

Just for fun chaps, no cukez/courgettes/parsnips to be awarded (unless you've got any leeks Corky?)

    re: The 6 Nations..

I have leeks but they are not deemed appropriate prizes for this match for obvious reasons.

    1. 21-15
    2. 30 secs
    3. Will not happen
    4. Will not happen
    5. Top end of gayness, say 8?
    6. Top end of total misreading of rules against us, say 9?
    7. Very graciarse, say 9?
    8. Totally ungraciarse, say 2?
    9. My money's on the Randwick boy, yours is too fat and looks a tad depressed whenever I bother to listen to his drivel
    10. Draw

    re: The 6 Nations..

I was going to add at what point will Brian Moore complain about a collapsing scrum and when will I hit mute.....but thankfully the match is on ITV, and it's not often that phrase is used.

Given that my answer to question 1 is 25-12, I think the rest is largely redundant.
