Hmm, interesting. Don't recall any academy players brought into the team for the MK Dons game. This suggestion is possibly just part of the smokescreen ?

But if that was the case, why did Mel sign off on the big money signings that effectively made it even harder for U21 players to get into the squad? (particularly if promotion wasn't the main aim this season) - sorry, but that's just another of the smoke & mirrors reasons being used to justify the sacking....

Can't argue with that, I'm all for bringing the u21s into the fold, however got to agree with gaspode, something smells fishy about the whole clement sacking fiasco.

I don't think the article says that the under 21's should be in the first team squad.....I read it that they shouldn't be treated as second class citizens and not be allowed to train with the first team etc...
It reads as if PC didn't watch any training or games for the U21 's.

I take it that the 2 teams were very apart...and Mel wants it more together......which is the right thing to do in my opinion.

To be honest ..I have no idea..I have heard rumours..but they are just that currently.
This could well be a smoke screen...or it could be true.
I am not ITK...but if others are, then fair enough...enlighten.
