What do you mean "now"?
As I write 3-1 down at Chesterfield in a massive six pointer game, 14 games left, 28 points, need about 21 More to stay up and a lot of tough games esp next three, pretty much impossible seeing as we've won six only this season, all over. And so much for an improving defence!
What do you mean "now"?
I have just got back from Chesterfield and I have read Davis verdict on OS. I cannot believe that a football manager can come out with such rubbish and I do not believe that the vast majority of away fans would accept his comments.
The usual story, two poor goals down in the first fif**** minutes and then a display that showed no heart or commitment and very little skill for the rest of the match where they were, in my opinion, outplayed in just about every aspect game. Chesterfield were hardly a great side but they were in a different class to he Alex.
I realise that money tight but I believe that we will never move forward while Davis is in charge.
I fear that from May 2017 there may well not be a league side left in Cheshire.
I love how people are still happy clapping the club. I wish our fans were more like Grimsby fans, with actual fight and desire to see the club progress, not just accept "we are a small club we cant compete" boll*cks. Grimsby fans furious at a disgraceful performance which 3 points in a promotion 6 pointer. Our fans "Oh its ok 1 loss in 7" and clap the ****ing lot off the pitch. 6 wins in 36 competitive matches and some fans are ok with it?
I've just got back too and I just can't believe that reaction above. I can only think the final result has blinkered opinion. To say that Chesterfield were a different class is just totally bizarre!. I saw it exactly like Davis.
Thought we were better than Chesterfield all over the pitch. Chesterfield had 4 shots and scored three goals. The worry was that in a game in which Garratt didn't make one save and in which we were so much better than them we ended up losing by conceding 3 ridiculous goals again despite creating a bagful of chances.
Shame Bakayogo had to go off ill as he was looking dangerous, but it was a positive that the two young lads that came on looked really lively.
DOn't get me wrong, I still think survival is massively unlike and Im not happy with where we are, but thought today was a decent performance, but a ****e result.
Oh how nice to hear someone with perspective. We are likely to be relegated but I doubt the world will stop turning and I doubt the club will disappear off the face of the earth. The manager will continue to work within the budget the club is known for and will continue to develop players (a few of which are on the fringes of the first team now) and we will continue to be solvent. I was not at the match today but will be next Saturday if spared. I will expect to see a typical Alex team and we may win, and we may not. Regardless of the result I will not be calling for a change of manager, board, chairman or team. Roebuck is in all probability correct in his assessment of the game. Having looked at the stats on the BBC it would seem to bear this out as would the comments I have received from someone who was there. Get behind the team, we have no right to expect to win matches. We have a right to expect them to compete and by most rational accounts suggest that we did today and certainly
Six wins all season, patience wore thin a long time ago for a few of us!
That was a Party Political broadcast by ™ on behalf of the Crewe Board. Len a long term fan on Radio Stoke and very Pro Crewe agrees with " ALL "
I'm afraid I can in no way agree with "all" and can make no comment on Len as I was in the mists of the Peak District returning home. Chesterfield were not the better team although they had their moments (esp. the critical ones!) but to say that the team showed no effort..... More chances were created in the second half than in most of the recent unbeaten run but without someone like an Ajose to finish we struggle. I was impressed with the two young lads who came on, unfortunately they both showed that by comparison Saunders is nowhere near the standard. Bakayogo showed great energy, it was just a shame that some of the defence had their poorest games for weeks. Yes, I was bitterly disappointed at the defeat but this was compounded by the booing at the end of the game from a minority. This inarticulate expression of displeasure is a modern phenomenon that does its users no credit. What a shame that this is probably the lasting memory of the Alex that Semi Ajayi will take home with him
