    T' North folk.

I spoke to a North person this morning.
Why do they say t' in front of everything?
    Going t' pub,
    Going t' the turf,
    Taking t' whippet out.
    Going t'chip shop.
    Going up t' Pendle hill,
    t'ect.
Is it a speech impediment that North folk suffer from?
Maybe Alf can answer my honest question.
And what is a "Twohat" ?

The guy in question was getting a train to Waterloo then going up North.
Sounded a bit like a Leeds accent.
Alf British rail is defunct lol, Has been for around 15 years.
I work for South West trains.
