That's an interesting reading of the situation, but the Boro manager will HAVE to give JR a fair crack at it, given the money involved. The problem - as most of us have agreed - is that you have to design a team around Rhodes' specific abilities. Either that, or find someone he eventually clicks with - like Gestede.

Rhodes isn't good enough to build a team around. Shearer yes. Karanka prefers to play one up front too. Have to question who has scouted Rhodes for them..
