    3 months to the euros.

    give or take a day.

looking forward to it, should be a tournament where plenty teams fancy themselves to go far.

and with the knock out stage starting at the last 16, and 3rd placed teams in 4 of the 6 groups joining them, its open for an outsider to go far.

difficult to predict, but i see a france v germany final, with the germans coming out on top.

    any thoughts.

As you say very difficult to predict and although Germany and France on account of they are the World Cup holders and the tournament hosts would seem the obvious favourites I was not impressed by Germany in the qualifiers and with the exception of Lloris none of the rest of the French contingent playing in the premiership have been outstanding.
Spain had a good qualifying campaign and should be in with a shout.
Of the lesser lights, or diddy teams if you want to call them, I would say Austria and England had good qualifying campaigns.

Not sure who I fancy for this, I think it’s quite wide open, France as hosts, Germany because they are Germany, will Spain bounce back form a shocking World Cup, Italy are always a threat and maybe Belgium can deliver more than they did in the last World Cup. From an England point of view anything could happen, quite a young pacey side with a serious goal threat, but I worry we are not the best at the back. We could choke in the group stage, but we could end up a dark horse, if we make the last 4 then it has been a success.

I'm hoping Messi is player of the tournament and ends the 'who's best' debate...
