    Reid Returns...

    Peter Reid will work with Bolton for the rest of the season, having returned to the club in an advisory role to coaching staff.

    Reid began his playing career with Wanderers in 1974 and went on to make 261 appearances during an eight-year stay at Burnden Park, before signing for Everton in a £60,000 transfer - where he would go on to win two First Division titles, an FA Cup, four successive Charity Shields and a European Cup Winners' Cup.

    The 59-year-old has stayed loyal to the town, having owned property for a number of years, but will return to the staff for the first time in 24 years having agreed to assist coaching staff for the final weeks of the campaign.

    Speaking about his return, Reid admitted the club still holds a special place in his heart and he hopes to play his part in a successful future under the ownership of Dean Holdsworth.

    Always a crowd pleaser.

    And his sentiments echo mine - The club is OURS - especially those of us who fork out for the season tickets year in, year out!!

    Jimmy, of course is a good coach in his own right, but I expect he has been, and is feeling the pressure as we all are.

    Be nice to finish on a high, even if we are to all intents and purposes doomed to relegation.

    Agreed, and I think the owners expect us to be in League 1 next season - it's all about them rebuilding from there.
