I was out all day yesterday, hence no posts from me.
What has happened? Yesterday we beat our local rivals and consolidate our place in the playoff positions as Cardiff Ipswich and Birmingham drop points.
Posts on here on the subject? 1 thread with 6 comments. Posts on NFM - equally minimal.
Contrast this to last week when we drop 2 points by drawing away at Rotherham who before that game had beaten Middlesboro and subsequently won at Ipswich. Outcome - scores of moaning threads.
Contrast this to previous games against NFFC - masses of banter and threads in the weeks leading up to the game and during it.
Is it that no-one gives a **** about the Rams any more, unless its to moan, or is it that this board is now officially irrelevant?

Or was it just a dire football match between two teams who are actually not very good :-/Originally Posted by roger_ramjet

That's true. Rams second home
Or maybe we should all be on the Swindon Town site!!
I think the answer is obvious. The negative Nelly's don't have enough to complain about. They'd hardly be able to contain themselves if we'd lost and I suspect several were eagerly awaiting the swap of Hanson for Christie to fail big time.
I'm not reading anything in particular into the game. A typical (except the 5:0 and 2:5) local derby with few chances and not a great deal of quality shown by either team. But, a win's a win and there was certainly more of a fighting spirit in the second half.
I'd like to discuss our win on FM but he's banned me again, clearly still upset on losing their cup final
I think the reasons are deeper. More social and representative of football. Over the past five or so years the old guard of passionate rams fans have started to walk away. Disillusioned with how the game has gone. Money and to focused. It's lost it's big traditions like the FA cup being uber exciting and a keystone of the game in this country.
Also the type of people going now and the atmosphere if there is any in the game is based on abuse and bad language. I don't think I've heard so much bad language openly not even close in the 80s. All my mates have made comments recently.
I know many ardent fans that chose not to go yesterday due to a number of changes like this. One quoted "can't be doing with the knuckle draggers".
So this type of fan has been watered down and replaced with those that don't understand the rivalry and banter behind it hence this type of change. It's representative on the board between all clubs before and after games you'd get it but nothing rea
