    Today we hammered a very...

very poor team despite one of the worst set of officials many can remember. How County's no 15 (Thompson) stayed on the pitch and their no 6 (Hollis) wasn't yellow carded I really don't know. How was the barge on Davies early on not seen given as a penalty ? To be fair Doyle, who had been having a running battle with Thompson, could have been yellow carded too, before he was the victim of that awful challenge just before half time. McLeod is a big donkey he really is, but how come he was booked for a foul he didn't commit ? Still having a rueful smile 7 hours on at that decision. I don't know who the 2 strangers sat to the left of me were but they never stopped moaning about our lot. Obviously they don't turn up regularly. Sadly I didn't see Corky, he was otherwise engaged in Sutton Scotney having a slash or stuck in traffic he tells me. You weren't the only ones Corks, Welling got to Eastleigh in time for just a 10 minute warm up I hear. They still got a point despite playing most of

Fully agree.....another poor set of officials however I felt Pompey gave as good as they got. From the off it was clear County were going to try and bully us/ waste time, thankfully we got stuck in too, led by the impressive Doyle. The normally frustrating Bennett had a fantastic game for a change which shows he has it in his locker but like the team needs to find some consistency. The third and fourth goals were beauties from fantastic crosses....just goes to show get the delivery right and someone will be on the end of it. Burgess nearly bust a gut for his header which was a cracker and a brave one to boot. All in all the perfect response to the awful performance against the other County.......can we build on it........I don't know.........Wimbledon will be a tough away day but it all depends on which Pompey turns up! Agree chaps and think the much-maligned Danny Hollands deserves a mench as well. Stonewall pen in first half when Davies was barged off the ball right in front of the South Stand lino.

Believe I may have found the answer to the mystery of why Jones is not first choice keeper. He's thick. Second half, playing into the sun he makes a fuss for 45 mins about not being able to see during which time he dropped the ball at the feet of a NC forward and almost conceded. Well Jonah there's a great new invention for goalies - it may not look cool and mess your hair up but it's worth looking in to. It's cheap and can help you stop fecking up in similar circumstances. It's called a cap.

The roads yesterday were a nightmare. Lost count of the accidents and breakdowns I saw on the A34 and M27 and the number of road and air ambulances beetling off to do their ***** work. True respect and thanks to our emergency services on what must have been, at the very least, a difficult day for them.

Good summary Corky......thought the same myself.......why wasn't Jones wearing a cap and how come the bench didn't produce one as it was plain the sun was affecting him? Anyway I forgot to mention the work rate of smithy up front........not pretty.......some might call it the donkey work but he stuck at it and how he didn't lose it with the ref and Hollis (?) who was marking him I don't know! Roll on the Dons!

Yep Phil. Smiffy’s contribution was noted from the luxurious, nay palatial, surroundings of the South Stand. Hauled down at every opportunity and then penalised in almost every case by a ref who, according to another board, didn't arrive until 20 mins before the match started? I know the traffic was bad but that's cutting it fine. Perhaps he had to help with the shopping first.

Clarky was strong too - we need a defender like him, especially in this division. Not what you would call cultured but just right if you need someone to mix it. Feel sorry for Webster but I do like that centre back pairing of Burgess and Clarke.

I cannot take all the credit Scou. True the Scotney Slash has become a major factor in the success of PFC as you noted but it would be taking the piss to say it is all down to me.
