    Match A or Match B?

Does anyone know how it's decided which play off match we are?

    A is Friday and Monday
    B is Saturday and Tuesday

It's very important as I have a wedding to go to on the Saturday. I know place 3 and 4 play the second leg at home, but if we finish 5 or 6 it might mean I'm giving up my seat!

I believe Match A is 3rd V 6th (cf Brighton v Derby 2 years ago). Match B is 4th V 5th. So as the Table currently stands, we would play Hull home on Sat 14th May and away Tuesday 17th May.

I don't think it's decided until they who is involved in the fixtures and then it's decided in conjunction with the police and/or sky.

Otherwise it would be simply put down as 3rd v 6th on a certain day already.

It is largely decided by Sky TV. Its highly likely that a Hull-Derby game will be Match B as the Saturday lunch time slot is a prime broadcast and they will put the biggest hitters on there. More viewers watch Derby than any other Championship club - even higher than Leeds these days.

Actually.... I take that all back! Latest figures show Brighton are the biggest draws in our division, followed by Derby, then Leeds, then Burnley.
    I'll fetch my coat.

In the first round of playoffs, do you prefer to play the first game at home or away?
