    God no, not again please

Message just seen when logged on that they will be updating message boards again imminently. If its anything like last time then will the last person out please turn the light off.

My guess is that this will happen over the playoff week(s) and so the one time when debate might rise above 3 threads the system will be unavailable. I mean, why wait until the close season?

The current release of software isn't allowing new users to register OR users who've forgotten their passwords to reset them, not a good business model from Mad

This question may seem a little prosaic but if youve been trying to log on for ages without success, how can you have posted these observations??

I guessed my password, or rather I kept trying every time I remembered a password I may have used for anything in the past. I've used the same password for everything for many years and didn't realise how long it was since I registered here, at which time I was using different passwords. Prosaic enough?

Well spotted Roger. I mean it's not as if there is any way they can let us know in advance that they are about to do this, what with this being a message board, I mean an advertisement portal; and by the time Bloomer finds out it will have already happened 3 weeks ago.

Be interesting to see which bugs they cure like the post league table that's been static since the last (ahem) upgrade and which new ones they introduce!

Also wonder how many potential posters they have lost through the inability t

There is a completely new message board coming out because for technical reasons it is impossible to cure all the bugs on this. So new system completely.

Had a look at the test version last night, looks fine to me. Much more control available for text, so you get some of the standard word processing options to change text colour, add bold and italic, centre text, change font, change text size all there for above the text box, no more adding code. Emoji's there too. Apparently post counts and stuff, as well as the yellow and red card functions are set, etc. No idea on speed, it's hard to tell. But it all looks simple enough and anything has to be better than what there is now.

    So don't panic too much.

    Yet.
