    I'm very (VERY) angry

    About our current performance.

I believe we have all been let down by the so called Portsmouth Football Team.

It looks very clear to me that they just turn up - take their wages and go home !

    No passion !

    No commitment !

    No motivation !

    I'll not go on................

Me too and I can tell how Daz feels having journeyed over to York last night. Cook seems to have no motivation skills at all the way I see it. He says the right things after a game but doesn't appear to do owt about it. I have spoken to a few who went to Dagenham, we were rubbish for 30 minutes or so before beating a team who will play in the National League next season. Last night against the other team certain to be relegated we were even worse until going 3.0 down. Yet of course we have been good enough to win at grounds such as Northampton. Bristol Rovers, Plymouth and Accrington this season. The players have let down badly those who went last night, those of us who follow our club and therefore pay their wages. This is not the first time as we all know this has happened this season, a season which promised so much and to be honest for me has been a big disappointment thus far. I shall be interested to see the reaction, if any, by these so called players on Saturday when we welcom

Must agree with all you say - I find it extremely difficult to understand that a football manager does not have the skills to motivate and possibly instil some passion into the team. Goodness me all my life in all jobs I have done I've always ethier been a member or running a team. I served for 40 years in the army (58 - 98) and would find it difficult if I was the manager to not go in that dressing room and make those guys get very worried about their future.

I'm sure there are some who are motivated and are doing their very best but it's not working as a team.

Come on Mr Cook kick a few chairs over and do a little hair drying conversations !!

Good post Lancer......I've always been of the opinion with Pompey that despite falling short on occasions the Fratton faithful will stay/support the players as long as the team goes out and gives it a right old go, chasing the ball, closing players down, getting stuck into tackles, chasing lost causes etc ........sadly that attitude has been lacking on a number of occasions.......for example last night. It shouldn't be all down to the manager....playing for a great club with a fantastic fan base/city, history and that famous royal blue jersey should be enough on its own!

I think very few think that way....they kiss the badge, but its just a job(Academy lads excepted). They know they will be gone at the end of the season or loaned out...loyalty has to be a two way thing.

i think Scoular has a point ,a few weeks ago the board said they would not discuss contracts until the season was finalised .With five loanees ,and a load of players out if contract at the seasons end ,automatic promotion seeming ly gone ,where is the motivation to bust a gut for us .Personally this season is the biggest disappointment Ive had in 68 years of watching.Points deductions united us in a common cause but thats not the case now,\\i`m starting to feel Iv`e had enough

The motivation is to play well and earn a contract. If the players who are out of contract want to play for Pompey then they should be playing well so they get a contract when the season is finalised. The same with the loanees if they want to come here. Earn your right to play for the club. The problem these days is that agents want to get a slice and a lot of players just want a pay cheque and a long contract. So I don't blame the club for saying no contract discussions until we know where we are.

Agents rub their hands in glee when Pfc come in for a player with the gates we get compared to our rivals. I yearn for a Kennedy or Taity type player and leader who would never stand 2nd best as we are getting with this lot.. See you Saturday Fb we will all have much to discuss.
