    Will Hughes

Whilst I'm happy for Will I'm not sure he is a fit for the team right now. He is no defensive midfielder and whenever he plays the whole midfield gets unbalanced big time. Apart from giving him game time if Thorne is fit he plays as do Butterfield Bryson Russell. Possibly rest Ince for Hughes in a forward role.

For me the most balanced midfield we have is Thorne, Bryson and Hughes. They all do different roles but somehow manage to complement other.

It is also no coincidence that we have been playing higher up the pitch since Bryson has come back. I think Hughes will encourage this even more. This in turn helps the front three and stops us playing the monotous possession based football that didn't go anywhere earlier in the season.

Hughes adds a superior quality to the team. I would always fit him in to the starting eleven.

I just wish he was ready a month ago. We finally have balance in mid field and not the time to experiment. Thorne if fit starts for me, as does Bryson. Then it's one of Butters, Johnson or Hughes. As it stands I would have one of the first 2. Probably Johnson if we play hull or weds and butters v Brighton.

As I see it we have the DCM in Thorne backed up by Hanso; the engine in Bryson backed up by Hendrick and the creative in Butterfield or Hughes.

Unless we play 4 in midfield I cant figure out how Johnson fits this matrix - something of £6m misfit? I guess his most likely role is as a roving midfield resource if we go to a 442 or obviously as injury cover.

Its a nice problem to have though, especially now Bent is on a goalscoring streak!

Johnson in central attacking role is class. Especially against a defensively minded team. Look at hull game, he just hasn't the attributes to defend well if needed. I still think our main goal threat is our attacking midfielders. And no doubt our most prolific are butters/ Bryson and Johnson. Hughes will never get into double figures per season imho

Hughes just doesn't have the all round game or physical attributes. He plays a
Couple of good balls a game or looks slightly better against weak opposition and some start singing his praises and calling him a world beater. He rarely puts in what can be called a shift and scores only a few. His physical presence is almost none existent. Top players have almost a complete set
If attributes and by this agar are commanding games.

Players like Johnson may not have the pretty little passes so much but they have attributes in more areas. Bryson is brilliant box to box and since he's been returned to this role has made the difference. I would argue he's more important to the team than the likes of keough and Martin. For me the jury is out on Butterfield. He's a fair player but still goes quiet to often.

We have won plenty of games without Bryson, rather fewer without Martin.

One of the great things for me about both Will Hughes an
