That ground which held 75,000 gaz has been demolished to make way for the current smaller ground on the same site. Their record attendance is 75,031 when they were home to Aston Villa in the 5th round of the FA cup on 12th February 1938, the match ended in a 1-1 draw and that was the 8th highest ever attendance at an English ground.
