Would it be totally absurd to make a bid to bring Nick back to the Alex on loan for a few months of next season.
He seams to be struggling at the moment and maybe a short return to where he learnt his football over quite some time would help him to regain his confidence ready to become an influential Premier player again.
Remember Danny Murphy did something many years ago when he was out of sorts at Liverpool and it did his career no harm at all.

Nick Powell has been injured quite a lot recently and is currently out of action on loan at Hull. He is also out of contract in the summer and I can imagine he won't be kept by them. Not sure if there are any clauses in the deal that took him to Manchester United but even if there are I suspect we will miss out because he will move for free

To go from Crewe in L2 to Man Utd in the Prem (via 2 Championship clubs) back to L2 doesn't sound like the best career move to me.
Murph only dropped to the Championship.
Nice idea, would love it to happen but Nick is better than that.

Which ever club he signs for, I hope very much that he can resurrect his career. He needs to choose his club carefully, stay clear of injury, and hopefully play himself into England contention. He is certainly good enough.
