    Faissal EL Bakhtaoui

It seems we have made an offer for the Dunfermline striker.

    A good move?

Is another striker really our top priority or does it suggest someone is leaving.

McGhee says that he'll make a bid only if McDonald chooses not to take up his one year option."We can't afford both".

An agent trying to stir up an auction? Not the usual way we go about business.

A very good move indeed but I'll be pleasantly surprised if he doesn't get a much more lucrative offer from an English club.

Rumour mill saying McDonald leaving don't see him going to another British club so maybe he's looking at America or China for 1 last big pay day

Although McDonald has made a noticeable impact on his return, I’d prefer some fresh faces at the club starting with El Bakhtaoui even if it were at the expense of McDonald.
We can't continue to live in the past, ie Lasley, Hammell, McFadden .. Please release them, let them go.

Think we have to move forward as a club and start signing some younger players like El Bakhtaoui, the older guys have served the club well. But what happens at the end if next season if McDonald has taken his option year and then wants to go to pastures new,we will still have to find a replacement who might not be available.El Bakhtaoui is young and has great potential and more importantly is available NOW.Also the fact we are in the top 6 just now might just be enough to intice him,who knows where we might end up next season when more than likely several more of the older players are likely to be going.

McDonald will be sorely missed if he goes...and it's a shame we can't look to keep him and get FEB at the cost of Clarkson and Fletcher but probably not surprising.
