Which do you think would fill the parents with the greater dread - knowing that she's dead, or knowing that someone has been keeping her alive for the last 10 years for their own purposes? :-(

I think everyone does Buc but missing children cases rarely have a happy ending, and I think that Mr and Mrs McCann are carrying this on in an effort to assuage the guilt they must feel about leaving their children by themselves while they went out for a bevvy. They didn't kidnap the lassie, and they didn't kill her - that responsibility lies with the perpetrator, but, unless this child-snatcher was just wandering around rooms at random, breaking into every one on the off chance of finding a kid by themselves (and that is a virtually impossible scenario) then he/she knew that this wee lassie was all alone, which means that her parents' actions in leaving her alone were instrumental in her being taken.
If they had not left her alone she would still be with them and would still be alive. I am sure they feel enormous guilt and remorse but that will never bring their wee lassie back.

Covering yourself in glory again I see.
What a sick individual you are, using the poor wee lassie for your pathetic point scoring.
You really are a lowlife aren't you...
