    Embarrassing

Well I was pessimistic, but did not think that we would put up such an embarrassing display of ineptitude!

Very poor and whats clear is that we need an experienced manager and this squad needs a total overhaul - for me Martin , Russell and Johnson would be the first to go.

Totally agree, I would also add Shackell to that list and I wouldn't be too upset to see Keogh depart.Big changes are needed the same bunch of players are bottling the job year after year. Unfortunately after Wassels first game in charge I knew this season was doomed . Clueless!

Followed by half a dozen others!! This team has done well - 3 top ten finishes, 1 playoff final, playoffs this season, so what does that tell us - it's good but not good enough! Certain players are past their 'of any use to DCFC date' so move them out. Too reliant on a 'find the lump up there principle' and subject to stupid defensive errors whilst appearing otherwise solid. EVERY member of the defence makes basic errors at some point in the game! Midfield too soggy. Yes, it's been a good team but it's time for a new manager (who knows what he's doing Mel) and a rebuild. Oh and the chairman let's him get on with it even if it's not the Derby Way!!

To be fair to Wassall we played like that under Clement as well, I would hope that half that team never wear a Derby shirt after Tuesday night (now watch them win 3-0 and get through on penalties!).

Although being in with a chance and not quite getting promotion has been the Derby Way, so maybe thats mel's cunning plan!

Never mind Swaley, you might end up doing the double over Barnsley again next season
Seriously though, Im shocked at that today. Based on your recent 4-0 win over Hull, I had that down as another home win today.
Somebody asked me this week 'even if you (Barnsley) lose in the play offs, dont you think its been a good season just to get there ?'. Well Im really not sure if it is a good thing or not, it feels worse doesnt it after getting there, and losing

I had quite the opposite thought, I reckoned that the previous matches would mean jack **** and that Hull with their quality would do a job on us, I was right, but did not expect our lot to be so utterly toothless, though having watched them against Ipswich last week I should have guessed.

Frankly though the Derby way of late has been to raise hope and expectations and then disappoint.

I get it now. The players were under orders from Morris to play crap. Remember promotion was never on the agenda for this season.....It is not the Derby way.

Sean Dyche would have got your team promoted in January.

I thought this thread was going to refer to the club having to buy you confetti cannons, streamers and flags to generate an atmosphere.

More plastic than the masks? I'd say so, but not nearly as hilarious.
