Looking through the list it must really hurt MM to see some of the money wasted - Johnson, Ince and Weimann is over 13 million alone in transfer fees and I wouldn't have spent half that on those three.

Perhaps an indication of why their clubs let them go. Norwich & Hull in particular seem to have done very well to move these players on for such huge fees by championship standards. Still thats football as they often say....

Well we (Sheffield United) Got our new manager this week in Chris Wilder from Northampton and today he culled the squad. 13 players released, 3 loans sent back (including Sammon) and 7 in contract players transfer listed. Now that's how to get shut of the deadwood. p.s. Coutts also binned.

Would the answer be the same guy as the one who decided that promotion to the PL was not on Derby's agenda this season, and then dismissed the manager to make this pretty much certain?
