    End of season ratings

    Goalkeepers

Scott Carson - 8 - Out did my initial expectations at the start of the season. Proved to be a solid, dependable 'keeper. Commands the defence well and deals with crosses effortlessly. Especially in comparison to Grant, which leads me on to...

Lee Grant - 2 - During the short period that he was in goal, I don't think I've ever felt so on edge. Two seasons ago he was dependable but seemed to make our defence look so much more fragile. Made three high profile errors this season in a handful of games. Sums it up really.

Jonathan Mitchell - N/A - Played one game this season. Didn't see it but apparently his distribution was awful. All I can really say. Wouldn't be surprised if he got released in the summer but it would be a shame because he looks a good, cheap third choice.

    Right Backs

Cyrus Christie - 9 - Most improved player, without a doubt. Seems so much more confident that last year and no where near as defensively fragile. Crossing is better, dribbling has b

Some harsh scores in there RBF for a team that finished in the playoffs.
Are you judging them on performance or against an inflated expectation?

Bit of both I'd say. Yes we finished in the playoffs but at times it was more like crawling into the playoffs.

Maybe a bit harsh but not going to strongly disagree.

    Ince 3? Wassall 2 but Clement 7? Keogh 10?
I don't think Martin Samuels has much to worry about in his pundit slot on Sunday Supplement :-)

Do you think Ince deserves more? For me I've seen too many no shows to give him more.

We lost five league games under Clement compared to six under Wassall in a shorter amount of time. We were top as well under Clement before one bad ran of form saw him sacked.

Keogh was player of the year?

I am no fan of Wassall but I will give him 5 as any less would suggest lack of effort & commitment which I don't think are applicable. His problem is total lack technical abilty and knowledge of what is required to do the job.
Ince is the polar opposite. He has lots of technical ability, but lacks application & commitment so this lets him down. Potential to be like Mahrez but never will be and I suspect will continue to drift from one club to another. I would only give Ince 4 as he has been a bigger disappointment than DW.

Whichever you view Ince he was second top scorer. Nobody deserved a ten and Wassalls win ratio was as high as Clements so I can't find 5 points difference

That's fair. Just my opinion obviously. I personally think we'd have gone up automatically if we kept Clement.
