    Players wanted Brendan Rodgers

But would be happy to go with Martinez, looks like Pearson would have been to tough on them!

Expecting players to vote for Pearson would be akin to asking turkeys to vote for Christmas

Diddums, they all worried they might get shouted at? Maybe they should take a look at this guy and how he talked to the players in training.

Maybe Pearson is their second choice?

Maybe they don't want to work with a vile weirdo?

    Who knows!?

and since we have a fair few Turkeys in the squad it certainly is unlikely to be Pearson...

According to the BBC Villa have interviewed Di Matteo, Pearson and Moyes for their manager's job. I would be very disappointed if we are not looking for at least this calibre of manager. Sherwood, Wassall, Davies are not at that level and would certainly not inspire me.

One big difference, Villa have oy just come down from the Prem and are a top flight club in all but, have just been taken over and supposedly have £50 million available plus they have parachute payments and not tied down by FFP!

Whereas we are play off failures with limited (compared to villa).

Many fans seem to have totally unrealistic expectations - Moyes, Rodgers, Martinez, why would they come to Derby - Moyes backed out of the Villa job as he was reluctant to drop down a division in any case.

Get real, the best we can hope for is a talented young manager with potential but with more verve than Clement.

Villa are in a mess. They have just been relegated - do you think they will go straight back up? Or struggle? My feeling is they will struggle next season. THey might have loads of money but they will need to spend all of it AND get the new team up and running quickly - we've seen numerous sides come down and fail.
Why wouldn't some of those managers come to Derby? McClaren came. Derby has potential and money. Do you think any of those managers would come if we got promoted?
Who would you rather manage Villa or Derby? I think most would be 50:50. One is a big
