Well firstly it was a cracking cup final. Well done to both sides. Hibs wanted it more. I think when they brought on Liam Henderson it changed things in Hibs favour. But again well done both sides best CF for ages.

Hibs were the better team on the day, the way our team is set up we will lose goals, our defence by admission requires major surgery and our squad was reduced with players cup tied and suspended, all of whom would have played a part in the game. I believe the loss of Dom Ball was crucial as it meant Halliday was again used as a makeshift defensive midfielder when he is much better going forward, and Zelalem is not anywhere near good enough yet to run the midfield, this left gaps just in front of our defence which Hibs, and the ira loving thug made the best of. When we went in front we should simply have put on another defender, shut up shop and played hibs on the break, but our lack of choices dictated we had to leave it the way it was. Next season will see us bring in better players for these positions and have some cover as well, a major disappointment and an anti climax to our season, however if given this scenario at the start of the season of league and diddy cup winners I would h

The two Celtic players Stokes and Henderson were the difference makers for Hibs which was good to see.

Rolf you had a reasonably articulate summary of how you saw the game but did you really have to put in the "ira loving thug" remark? It really does you no favours. For instance if someone writes an article on how Joey Barton plays next season can you see them calling him "that royal family despising thug"? You need to rise above these things when you're trying to stick to the fitba commentary imho

Maybe if Selik had kept The Rhat and Henderson they might have had a better season.

Celtic player scores first and second, another Celtic player assists the third, final, and winning goal... we're happy enough about the result...
