The bakers who do the Celtic cakes do ragers cakes too - they couldn't give a toss who spends their money as long as it is spent. petition launched by football fans calling for the First Minister’s resignation has gathered almost 2,000 signatures.

The campaign was started by Rangers fans following the pitch invasion, and alleged assault of Rangers players, that followed their defeat to Hibernian in Saturday’s Scottish Cup final.

The change.org petition, which has so far attracted 1,933 supporters, calls for Nicola Sturgeon to resign as MSP for Govan and as First Minister for failing to condemn Hibernian fans for their role in the incident.

Hibs fans poured onto the park following the dramatic conclusion to the game, a number of Rangers supporters then also ran onto the pitch and skirmishes broke out.

Police and horses had to battle to contain the situation and restore order.

The petition, started by Stuart Johnston, states: “As First Minister she should have condemned the football hooliganism and assaults at Hampden Park.”
