Size of Squad

We only have 10 players [at the moment] contracted, as the loan system has changed we need to have a squad of at least 22-25 to start the season as this has to last till January.
Talk of signing 3-4 players is not realistic especially if the 5 in talks don't sign, or am i wrong?
Injuries, loss of form or just plain useless players will take its toll on the team over the course of the season, we need a larger squad of better quality than last season.

Interesting topic.

You need a squad of sufficient size to cover for injuries and suspensions, but you also need to keep evryone involved. I would go for about 20-22, no more. Of this you will need at least 2 keepers and hope the junior keeper is decent enough.

I doubt all 5 offered deals will stay so I reckon Stubbs will need to bring 8-10 in.

Well if nobody had an opinion there wouldn't be much point in having a message board!
Of course Stubbs will know what is required but that shouldn't stop supporters having a view.
