    I must admit it is going to be a very long time before we face each other in a league environment again if we avoid relegation it will be a miracle.

    As it doesn't really matter who manages Rovers under this moronic regime, who cares if he worked for Burnleh or not?

    He did take a pretty crap Burnley team into the prem though, then he legged it and you went down. So he can't be all bad

    I wouldn't even really say he to a Burnley team into the Prem - the team he took was pretty much all the previous manager's. Steve Cotterill's (previous manager) brief when he took the job was to keep us in the division. He'd a good eye for players, but kept them on too tight a leash playing survival football when our position was fairly secure. Coyle didn't so much "manage" them as give them the freedom to play to their capabilities. There are Burnley fans who feel that had Coyle stayed the first time we were in the Prem, we might not have been relegated, but I feel Coyle and his limited tactics and motivational abilities were beginning to be found out. I've never felt that promotion via the play off's was down to his management, more a case of "right place right time" for him. When he left he screwed Burnley, he's screwed Bolton, screwed Wigan, and would have done the same at Blackpool but the Oyston family realised they could screw the club just as well without him.
