    If Alan Stubbs can bring Anthony Stokes to NYS it would certainly put down a marker on the calibre of recruitment we might expect.
    Unfortunately I think the striker might receive more attractive offers than we are able to make.
    However, you never know.......

    Exactly. Players usually go to Scotland to ply their trade because they aren't very good.

    I remember Stevie very well and was pleased he failed because he chose to go to the dark side!
    However, some players respond better to certain managers and it's possible that Steve Evans might have got more out of May than Stuart Gray managed.
    Stokes did well under Alan Stubbs guidance and could possibly continue that level of performance in the Championship.
    All this is pure speculation of course but it does illustrate the recruitment risks involved for a club of our size.
    Gwru I completely agree about Bradshaw but I think Walsall are looking for £1 million plus for him and I doubt if we'd go that far for one player.

    Stokes may have played well and scored goals under Stubbs guidance, but lets not forget that he was playing against opposition that would struggle in our League Two.
