oh dear if that is the standard we are going for then it's going to be a very long season
hit lit no fires when he played for us last time around I am doubting he has improved
plenty of pace precious little else.
Not a signing that has the "wow"-factor, eh, Robin?
Just thought I'd log on to add to the declining 'input' onto the site.
Yep, this is the sort of acquisition we are now down to, but in all honesty is anyone really all that surprised.
Some have complained over the attempted retention of Tommy S, but I just cannot see where they are getting their ideas from as 'just not good enough'. For us at this moment in time for me he certainly is.
If I was in DG's shoes/boots, would I really be excited over a return for a season of what exactly? I am certain that he is being offered far, far better prospects at several other clubs. He must know the feelings of the supporter here by now. If it was a career ending golden pay cheque he was hankering over, I don't see us coming up with it.
The recent (in the list of many) 'own goals' Venkys have bestowed upon us i.e. OC, is now looking as destructive as feared.
I shudder at the upcoming 'gates' this man is going to attract.
I see a repeat of the SC era about to unfold.
Nothing about him says to me he is going to make a fist of it and encourage any to return whilst he is here, by this I mean he would have to be hitting top six.
Dark days indeed.
No aucks it isn't getting me excited but as despair states we are hardly going to attract anybody special
It's going to be a very hard season to watch and we as fans must be prepared for a relegation fight
on a brighter note I understand Anthony stokes is on the verge of signing
not a bad player who needs to prove it in England let's just hope we have a good player on our hands and not another David goodwillie.
Signs for the rovers
I must admit this is the first Coyle signing which hasn't raised a smile he was not very good to say the least the last time he played for us but who knows this time around he was one of the very few Bolton players who had a a good season.
Oh well, most managers have a 50/50 success-rate with their signings, at best - even those who spend tens of millions.
I get a feeling aucks after Byrne finally signs on loan from city the rest of our signings will be of the feeney ilk
nowhere near world beaters just average championship players to bulk the squad out
I think our budget went on Graham and stokes both will be on a reasonable wage.
In fairness to Feeney, and I thought he was a waste of space when he was with us, I didn't recognise him last season. The Feeney of last season could play football. So we'll just have to see how he does. Normally returning players that were a suscess fail, so let's see if the reverse is possible.
Robin and Dan - things seemed so bleak a month ago. Perhaps the only way is up now.
I'd love to see Feeney in his transformed mode. Wouldn't it be great to win the first game of the season for a change?!
Yes a win would be lovely aucks but against Norwich I very much doubt it
I would say they are favourites for the title in my opinion
going back you are right back a month ago it was very bleak now there are glimmers of light through the clouds but this team is still nowhere near good enough to compete with the more elite of the championship however a few more decent signings and who knows maybe just maybe.
