An England fan is in a coma after it's claimed he was attacked by a Russian 'Ultra' thug at the Euro 2016 tournament.

Stewart Gray, from Leicester, was reportedly hit on the back of the head in Marseilles on his way to watch England's opening match.

It's claimed his assailant was wielding a hammer or a metal bar.

Stewart has so far failed to regain consciousness in hospital since the attack on Saturday night.

Family members are believed to be keeping a vigil by his bedside.
