Sheffield Wednesday handed mouth-watering televised home opener with Villa

    http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport...illa-1-7976273

"SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY have been handed a marquee televised start to the new Championship campaign at home to relegated Aston Villa at Hillsborough, with the game to be screened by Sky Sports on Sunday, August 7 (4.30pm kick-off)."

A bit rude using the word 'marquee,' somebody is going to be upset
What a top start, our credentials are going to be tested in the first month.....bring it on

Great game to kick off the new season.

A bit gutted that it's on a Sunday but I'm sure Hillsborough will be rocking again.

So are we now known as 'Sheffield's Marquee club'?

Best opening home game for many a year, it'll be tough but if we can win it might just set us up for the season.
