    ROI v France

Time for payback for that handball by Thierry Henry. I believe in karma and it would be brilliant if it happened. Come on the ROI put France out.

Nah, luck only gets you so far in tournaments and Ireland must have used theirs up by now.

Stranger things have happened and I do not think that France will be too comfortable playing against the agricultural style of football that is prevalent in Martin O'Neill's teams.

I would say that was laid on perfectly. Not too heavy to be ignored yet not too subtle to fly over the the thicker heids.

Be very surprised if someone doesn't have a good nibble.

Can't see Ireland beating France but not sure they were lucky to get this far in the finals to be honest. They were unlucky not to get a penalty at 0-0 v Belgium, but even last night they had one absolute stonewaller turned down and another where the Italian had an Irish guy in a headlock but the ref mightn't have seen it. Thought they deserved to win last night to be honest.

    2-0 to France though

Belgium would have beaten them anyway and they were lucky to get Italy when they had already qualified and not half as good as the first two games. Same thing happened v Germany in the qualifiers, their timing playing the better teams has been fortunate.

    2-0 France though.
