    Wales put us to shame

and show us how to do it. Cue Lassie. Mind you they were lucky to get away with a penalty which caught have made a big difference.

Well done Wales, shame about Ramsey for semi, but a winnable game against Portugal and who knows a final against Iceland.

May I be the first to congratulate our Welsh friend Southerdayn. I started the evening believing Wales, led by Bale and Savage, were a bunch of gobshîtes, over-hyping their chances, and ended a believer. The best team performance in the best match of the competition so far, with the player of the competition and the best individual performance of the competition in Aaron Ramsey proved me totally wrong. God knows these islands could do with some confidence and belief at the moment and the Welsh had it in bucketloads.

Well said Corks, I never watched it but saw the goals on the News. Talking of Internationals I never envisaged a Matt Ritchie move to Newcastle, admittedly on a lucrative long term contract. SC, I'd love to know his thoughts on Matt having let him go to Swindon on a free.

I wasn't aware that Lesley Welch had played at Fratton Park.

Maybe my memory is letting me down.....

    Hi, me ole mucker!

Re: Trollope. I'm ambivalent. A cheap option, when the owner continues to slash wages? Or did Tan see last season that with a better manager and a few signings, we, er, Cardiff, could have made the Prem? Tan's brought in Lennie Lawrence to guide the young man and many felt that the revival in Cardiff's form in the second half of last season was down to Trollope. Cardiif desperately need a couple of strikers, but signing Lex Immers permanently seems a positive move - he was outstanding at the tail end of the season.

I think Trollope will be judged on who he signs.

When I say I haven't bought a ST this season, but may buy a half ST, this makes my position clear - ie fickle.

When are Pompey going to dump their loopy manager?

Saw young Trollope play for Swindon Youths at FP many season ago. Didn't think he was a patch on his Dad but he made a career from what I'd call limited ability. I wish him well with Lennie Lawrence as you say Lassie. As for PC he needs a good first half of the season I'd say or the knives will be out. I would love to say to him we want to win home games, but we want to be entertained. We didn't do either at Fp last season. I had a Coffee with Corkus Sunday morning, we were in agreement that our home form cost us dear last season together plus conceding those time added on goals. I hope Cook has learnt lessons from his 1st season down on the showery south coast.
