Here's the river Don its only 1 mile n halve from where I live .

Its also the trail where I go running occasionally.. Enjoy the video and the backing music.

Edit to say its fantastic for trout and Salmon ..
Most people I've seen put the fish back .

I would have been fishing but my waders leak, the only place that I can find online that does a proper repair job is in Bridge of Don, so I intend to take a trip up there shortly and get them fixed. I've a mate currently renting a house in Stonehaven (he's up there for a couple of years working on the Aberdeen bypass) so I'll go and spend a few nights with him whilst my waders get sorted (I spent a week up there with him in June). This'll be your stomping ground Jimmy? I normally fish the Border Esk at Canonbie for salmon and sea trout by the way, but I'm afraid I tend to scoff them.

Cheers Jimmy that's very kind of you. My mate has also offered to take them up to this guy, and I could courier them direct to him anyway, but I'd prefer to take them along myself next time I'm in Stonehaven. He doesn't just do the repair, he knows all the weak points on every brand of wader so he reinforces all the seams where he knows they're likely to give problems, the job he does is so good they usually end up even better than a brand new pair. I'd like to take them in person so I'll know exactly what he's done with them (he repairs diving suits too). I'll certainly let you know when I'm up there and we can meet up, I might even do some fishing there too, there's supposed to be good sea trout fishing off the rocks around the Stonehaven seafront, but it'll be getting a bit late in the season by the time I get up. In the meantime, let me know if you're going to be in Watts coffee shop in Carlisle again and I'll meet you there.
