We do need to retain some players who clearly give their all, whether playing **** or not, and Johnny is one of those. I think it would be good to give Pearson some time with him to see if his work ethic could be put to better use

I would not be too sorry to see him go, yes he puts in maximum effort, but often there is no end product if he does go it will be because having had pre season to look over his squad, Pearson thinks that he can afford to lose Russell and maybe use the funds and wages freed up to buy a player of a sort he needs in the squad.

For me Russell is below Weimann, Ince in ability, if not in the hard work stakes, but hard work gets one only so far.

It's simple really, if Pearson wants him he'll be staying, if he don't he'll be gone. I like Russell as he'd die for the club, he's in the same mould as Buxton. But like Bucko, is he good enough?

You shock too easily Bloomer! How would you describe something rather more serious than the possible sale of an irregular squad member of a championsip team? Catastrophic news about X Factor contestant's battle with german measles? Disaster looms as woman jumps out from behind a tree?
