    Superb weather

Could get used to this weather. The sun is shining bright in the sky. Been out with the missus on our bicycles. She is away to work so I'm going for a walk around the beach.
Just wish that we got more days like this in Scotland.
I bet on the South coast Jack gets loads of good days

ha ha - possibly more than you have up there, but this summer hasn't been fabulous... although this week is great so far.
Bbq out back every Sunday for last couple of months so been lucky there...
Only gripe is that we can't get near the beach for grockles...

but yeah, the weather is one reason I like it here...

Are grockles one of the baddies out of Doctor Who or something?

I wondered what grockles were . I thought it might be something that comes out of your mouth when you clear your throat

"Grockle" is common parlance down here for tourists (incomers/strangers/people with only five fingers on each hand who don't have webbed feet) however, looking at the etymology of the word it apparently originated in Dundee... in an edition of the "Dandy" no less, in a "Desperate Dan" story....

    Who knows...

When I lived in Torquay and Newquay we we used to call them haemorrhoids ( sp) because they came in bunches and were a pain in the erse. By the way, I'm typing this from a beer garden with an ice cold Magners ( mair money to the hoops).

definitely not a Dundee thing, Dundee is the friendliest city anywhere, no bad names for visitors

Nor a bad name as such... just a wee label, although it is used in a very slightly derogatory fashion I suppose...
