SCOTLAND'S women are off to Euro 2017 in Holland after securing their place in a major finals for the first ever time.

Portugals' 3-2 win over Finland this evening confirmed the Scots' landmark achievement.

Without kicking a ball Anna Signeul's team have finished as one of the best second-placed teams in the qualifiers.

Scoltland's men missed out on this summer's Euro 2016 finals in France meaning they haven't qualified for a Euros since the tournament was held in England in 1996.
