    Motherwell escape with a point

Motherwell sneaked away from Firhill with a point after a late goal nfrom Scott McDonald. Partick Thistle missed a host of chances to wrap up the game and eventually paid the price. - External Link

Not a great performance but we came away with a point, from a ground in which we rarely perform well. The goal that we hade chalked off was perfectly fine. Thats now 2 weeks in a row that we've had a legitimate goal disallowed.

You could tell early on that we were not at the races. All the energy was with the home team. But that's a sign of a good team, getting something from a poor performance.

Things have gotten better the past few weeks, but Friday night v The Jambo's will tell us how far we've come, or have still to go !

Until we as a team can string a few games in a row without conceding anything then IMO we still have a fair bit to go.Hearts have been struggling to score in their recent games and Friday night's game will show us how we are progressing defensively.

Hearts are struggling for goals at the moment. Lets hope the goal drought continues, we keep a clean sheet and Moult scores another 4 goals.

The problem is that that we have two full backs who are defensively weak, a central midfield which is unbalanced and poor defensively and no left sided out and out midfielder....... oh and a dodgy goalkeeper. Until we address those deficiencies we'll continue to ship goals.

Fortunately we have strikers who can score.
