Queen Of The South 75-76
This is a season that is still talked about among older Queens fans. An almost miraculous comeback from the dead so to speak in 75-76. Queens as good as relegated at Christmas and then we spent £15,000 ( a massive fee) to bring a certain Peter Dickson to Palmerston. From then on there was no looking back and safety was secured after a great run of league results. This season saw us beat Rangers 2-1 over 90 mins before going out in extra time. We also played them in the SC QF at Palmerston after the famous 5-4 extra time win over Ayr in the previous round. Look for the spectators sitting around the pitch in one of the photos from the Rangers game . A couple of photos were from the 74-75 match v Hearts but were in the 75-76 programme from an Anglo Scottish Cup game against the same team so I put them in.
