    Expert opinion from an expert

    Ie me.

The choice of Poland for a pre season tour told me what this season would be like and I explained it openly on here at the time but the board experts knew better of course.

Alan Stubbs has built a team to play a particular type of football and to some extent they can play this style but only to a below Championship level.

When we play this style which is every game then 9 times out of 10 we will be beaten because every other team in the division have better footballers.

Stubbs stubbornly refuses to change his style so if we stick with him then 100 per cent we will be relegated.

We have to give ourself a chance as a chance is marginally better than no chance.

We need someone within our means who knows the club and it's supporters as we need to replicate the Warnock philosophy and mindset throughout the club.

Even with this then it's likely that we will be relegated but we must fight until the end.

Logic points to one person and that person is Paul Hurst.

The longer we wait then the harder the job will be.

Birmingham will win by 3 or 4 on Tuesday and the supporters should then demand a change of manager.

Paul Hurst although a Wednesday fan could be described as Mr Rotherham so he is the one to give it a go.

TS needs to take my advice.

I hope this helps those of you who still fail to understand the situation.

Fair points Kempo. Hirsty would certainly fit into the TS cheap and cheerful mode. Hirsty would at least know what Millers fans expect off a Rotherham team. Clearly stubbsy doesnt and is not even prepared to listen to fans.

Expert at what? I've forgot more then you'll ever know about Rotherham United. Paul Hurst are you having a laugh. Name I've heard mentioned though its highly unlikely. Paul Lambert.

TS needs to stand by Alan and let the seeds he's planted grow....

My dad - who did know his football - and was an incredible gardener - always said the worst things to dig up in a garden were thistles.....

This is because they showed very little above ground because they were creating a massive root ball - and when they had created those roots - THEY GREW AND GREW !

THAT WAS AN ANALOGY OF ROTHERHAM UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB THIS YEAR !

Rotherham fans have more gumption than to listen to self proclaimed "experts"

    EX = PAST TENSE

SPERT = A DRIP UNDER PRESSURE

But nice try HURSTY....You'll get the job eventually....lol

PS : the MILLERS will NOT be relegated this year I GUARANTEE IT !

MID TABLE THIS YEAR - ABOVE BARNSLEY - AND BARNSLEY WILL BE WELL BEATEN AT NYS !

Maybe they show very little above ground because their heads are stuck in the sand.

Agree with your points Kempo. Not sure if Hursty is the right man though. Doesn't fill me with any enthusiasm and I want a manager who is good tactically and drives passion and commitment into our players. Not sure Hursty can be trusted with any of those attributes. Plus he has had no managerial experience at this level. I do think our thoughts are more aligned now Kempo and it is I who have had to make the changes. But not Hursty.

We are 10 points behind Barnsley. At the rate we are going it will take until April just to catch them up.
No offence mate but you sound as deluded as Stubbs. Your not related in any way are you.

The improvement has been incremental - that's great.

He's tried formations - and measured the results....

He's tried players in different roles within these formations and measured the results...

He hasn't blasted his players - he's nurtured them through tough times...

He's been patient with Dexter Blackstock and cared for every injured player and prepared them properly....

He has a structured approach to everything he does...

I don't want a knee jerk manager - it's a long long season and performance has improved...

TS needs to stand by Alan because he is following the only route our small club go down and he needs to be a steely eyed missile man to continue the good work..

    YES I HAVE FAITH....

BECAUSE I SEE IMPROVED PERFORMANCES AND WHAT THE CLUB IS TRYING TO DO....I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THEM....

    STAND FIRM BOYS....

    Second hand soap box anyone...lol

First mistake made, giving the job to an untested at this level manager, Stubbs. This after TS said he wouldn't do this.

Be a massive gamble to go the same way with Hurst in my opinion. That said, Birmingham did it with Rowett and it paid dividends for them, albeit they weren't in the sort of mess we're in.

Evans or even Ronnie Moore would be better options than Hurst right now. He is going the right way and I hope he gets his chance at some point but now is not the time.
