Aberfan....
50 years ago today at around 9.15 a.m 144 died, 116 of them children. Those children had gone to school and within minutes of registration were dead. Thousands of tons of Coal Waste cascaded down the Valley with the School taking the brunt, Lives of those who survived, Parents for example, were changed so sadly for ever. I stood in the pouring rain with my Welsh Oppo the next day, you couldn't hear a pin drop during the 1 minutes silence prior to Wales v Scotland in the Home International Championship. A truly dreadful tragedy, I have never forgotten that 1 minutes silence and I never will. R.I.P.
