    O/t Come back Zilzal

We are all missing your intelligent and witty posting and of course your history of RUFC posts...not to mention your music and your knowledge of Islam.

I sincerely hope you are not dead...if you are and there is any bright light of hope then maybe send a cryptic message via MM and also RIP.

For the sake of this thread I will assume that you are still alive and playing over 50 s 5 a side on Wednesday evenings.

IBS has returned albeit for one limited post so maybe you will consider doing the same.

I need your support because monty and EllisD are being horrible to me.

Please come back zilzal as we need a racing tip as gwru has just tipped 37 consecutive losers!

The hospital where IBS now resides only allows him limited access to the internet and he prefers to masquerade as The_Third_Burglar on our sister site. I take no pleasure in saying it but it looks like Zilzal has shuffled off. This grieves me as I liked the rascal despite his frequent threats to have me killed. Still, perhaps Cheeks(s) and Geetar can be persuaded to return?

I hope he is ok Monty but fear the worst.

He was riddled with odd pains which the medics couldn't solve and had a rare blood disorder but I do hope these conditions have not seen him off.

Please zilzal just let us know that you are not mort but alive and kicking.

K, I exempt you from this but most medics now seem only capable of over-prescribing valium and antibiotics, all their time monopolised by fat smokers demanding transgender operations. I recently had the misfortune to have a relative go into Rotherham hospital. To call it an abbatoir would be a disservice to well-run slaughterhouses. What a country we have become.

I have written many times about the deficiencies of the NHS generally and also experiences with RGH.

The Times today reported another survey on our cancer survival rates which were the worst in the developed world..disgraceful.

We had a well known poster on here reporting views of his doctor girlfriend on here and she clearly had no understanding of the reasons behind medical negligence cases and was in total denial re the problems of the NHS.

I am certain that her views and knowledge are quite representative of doctors under the age of 50 say and this is shocking.

Well, I won't bore you with too much detail and no doubt the many defenders of our great health care system will slag me off but RGH was an incompetent hell hole. An elderly patient was admitted with obvious symptoms of a urinary infection. She was about to be discharged with no urinary infection found. Competent people were surprised and luckily for the patient asked the right questions. The hapless consultant said a test for urinary infection was on his list and "must have been performed" although he expressed surprise that the results were not recorded. The ward sister was asked and she flew into a tantrum saying tests were "always" conducted. Finally, when no record of such test was found, a test was made and lo and behold, severe urinary infection was found. Without this intervention the very frail and elderly patient would have been sent home and very probaly have died. The NHS is not fit for purpose.

I doubt very much that RGH provide a world class stroke service but am glad to hear they did a good job on your dad villa.

It's very difficult for non medical people to assess a medical service from the medical point of view because they usually don't know what the best treatments for a particular treatment are.

Just about every health survey comparing us with the rest of Europe show that we come bottom or very near when it comes to health outcomes.
