It's certainly in my top ten goals but I'd have to watch lots of them again to decide finally. Great team and probably my favourite World Cup.

It's certainly up there and to score it in a World Cup final probably puts it top of many lists. (For the youngsters amongst us we're talking 1970).

Great captain of a magnificient team.

    RIP

The Brazil team of 82 just pips the 70 team for me even though the 70 side won the cup..little to choose between them though.
That goal was like the garlem globetrotter goal of football for me.

WHAT?!?! You call yourself a Miller?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yes it was a great goal. But scorer of your favourite goal by any player ever?! What about Alan Lee's winner against Burnley for promotion? What about last minute winners at Swillsborough by Darren Garner and Richie Barker?! What about Alex Revell's second goal at Wembley?!?!

I am genuinely disgusted that some goal by Johnny Foreigner in a game nothing to do with us is your favourite ever goal. Shame on you.

Bri, strangely enough a day after your post this goal was discussed by Hawksbee and Jacobs on Talksport. Both agreed it was great but one of them expressed the same reservations I had regarding context. Italy were shattered from their semi-final win over West Germany and 3:1 down when the goal was scored. Marking and tackling was well below par. If this had been scored after 10 minutes at 0:0 I would rate it even higher.
