Officials blunder and 'Well lose 2-0

Motherwell were out fought by Dundee and lost 2-0. Although there wiil be complaints about the officials' ignoring a clear 'Well goal the final result was rarely in doubt. - External Link

It's always hugely frustrating when a big decision goes against you like that but that can't be used for a complete collapse for the remainder of the match.

We just don't seem able to string any sort of positive run of results together and that is why we won't be far from the drop come May next year.

After winning against County I thought I'd take in a now rare 'away day'. That's 6 hours of my life I'll never get back. Just knew after we were robbed of that 'goal' it was only going to end one way; disappointed more by the lack of fight than the chopped off goal !!

Definitely not our day yesterday. A horrific refereeing blunder robbed us of the all important opener. Was that the same linesman who chalked off our legitimate goal at Firhill? John Beaton was also the referee who awarded Dundee a very soft penalty last season to deny us a win.

All that said, we were very poor and the defending for both goals, but especially the second was shocking. Again our midfield went AWOL.

Why o why did our manager change the team from last week which was full of running, aggression and teamwork. Our manager seems to have a self belief that he must pick the "Old Guard" players of the squad i.e. Hammell,Lasley etc.As I stated in an earlier post yesterday that I hoped team changes wouldn't come back to cost us the game, which it certainly did, even allowing for disallowed goal.Every game as the league stands at present now appears to be six pointers.McGhee has to learn quickly what his best starting eleven is and stick with it each week injuries and suspensions permitting.IMO it is fairly obvious that players playing with the same team mates week on week build up an understanding and trust in each other without having to worry about who is playing alongside me this week and what position is he or I playing!

Couldn't agree more....McGhee's clueless and will drag us straight to the Championship. We probably can't afford to get rid of him and he's so arrogant and full of himself he won't walk away.

Lucas was injured so he had little no choice there - and that clearly hurt us.

Disappointed McMillan got dropped if he was fit though.
