When was my 1st Queens game?

Yeah the question was asked recently during a pub conversation and I just cannot for the life of me remember. Can some historian help us out from the archives?

I recall it was Queens 2-1 Forfar ...... Forfar took the lead, but Queens came back to win with a late winner.
    I'm guessing it was mid-late 1980s?

    Cheers

Queens beat Forfar 2-1 in 88-9. This was one of only two ( I think) games we won in the league that season. Maybe it was then.

Thanks! That's it got it! Sat 17th Sept 1988 and you're right Queens won just THREE games that season. Looks like I was tremendously lucky that my 1st Queens games was one of those victories. I do recall being at the infamous Queens 0-6 Kilmarnock game on the last day of the season when I think Killie were relegated too because another result didn't go their way.

I was out the house when I read your post and replied. I was going to check the exact date when I got in. Stevie Moore and Jim Doherty got the goals in the 2-1 win. Queens did indeed only win three games that season with only two in the entire league season. These other wins were the Kilmarnock SC replay 1-0 after a 2-2 draw and a 2-1 away win at Meadowbank on Hogmanay 1988.
