I don't really know much about Barton the player, but I'd imagine he'd replace 1 of the midfield 3 - so who drops out? Are Butterfield's days numbered, or does Thorne not get another look in at holding mid? Do we lose Hughes due to his lack of goals, or does Bryson's lack of skill cost him a place. Perhaps he comes in and does what we wanted of Bradley Johnson?

We all know we need a leader, but that's gotta be a long term position. Does Mac really think we'll get up this season and so is going to really go for it come January, or do we speculatively just aim for top 6 with what we have and build a side for next season?

I really don't know, but at least having Mac back has brought a bit of interest back!
